Property & Development Compliance Coordinator

Help shape the future of Cook Shire! We’re seeking a motivated Property and Development Compliance Coordinator to lead and manage sustainable development in our unique region. This opportunity plays a key role in the delivery of high-quality compliance services across development assessment, building, plumbing, and stormwater drainage, as well as property management, land tenure functions and supports the effective use and management of Council-owned property assets and facilitates.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Oversee development, building, and plumbing compliance.
  • Manage Council’s residential and commercial property leases.
  • Lead land tenure processes including leases, licences, and native title matters.
  • Prepare reports, Briefing notes & recommendations for Council
  • Supervise and mentor a small, dynamic team.

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualifications/experience in investigations, local government or regulatory compliance.
  • Strong legislative knowledge in Local Government Act 2009, Building Act 1975, Planning Act 2016, Plumbing & Drainage Act 2018
  • Strong Stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Leadership ability and a solutions-focused approach.
  • Current C Class driver’s Licence.

$88,172.00 to $ 98,121.00 per annum + locality allowance

Superannuation:

12% superannuation contributions
