BUILDINGS & FACILITIES SUPPORT OFFICER
Are you highly organised, customer-focused, and enjoy keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes? Cook Shire Council is looking for a Buildings & Facilities Support Officer to provide essential administrative support to our Building and Facilities team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will provide high-quality customer service and administrative support to Council's Building and Facilities maintenance team. You'll be responsible for ensuring maintenance requests are effectively managed, procurement processes are completed accurately, contractors are coordinated efficiently, and records remain current and compliant.
This role requires someone who is highly organised, enjoys problem solving and can confidently manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong focus on customer service.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Coordinate building and facility maintenance requests through Council's CRM system.
- Process quotes, purchase orders, goods receipting and invoices.
- Support tradespeople by organising materials, scheduling works and maintaining records.
- Liaise with contractors, staff and customers to ensure maintenance activities run efficiently.
- Maintain key registers, electronic records and other administrative systems.
- Provide professional customer service and general administrative support.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Experience in administration and managing corporate information systems.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities.
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
- A proactive team player with great attention to detail.
- Experience in Local Government is desirable
