Cook Shire Council is seeking a motivated and reliable Casual Airport Reporting Officer to join our team. No previous experience is necessary, with training provided to the successful candidate.

What you'll be doing
- Conducting daily aerodrome serviceability inspections before scheduled aircraft movements.
- Monitoring and reporting aerodrome conditions and issuing NOTAMs when required.
- Undertaking airside security checks and ensuring vehicles comply with aerodrome requirements.
- Carrying out aircraft refuelling duties, including fuel testing, stock checks and fuel installation inspections.
- Providing ARO coverage across the roster, including weekends and public holidays.
- Maintaining airside & landside areas, including mowing, gardens, fencing, aerodrome markers & the passenger terminal.
What we're looking for
You will be a friendly, proactive, and detail-oriented individual with a passion for excellent service.
- A current or able to obtain Aircraft Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate (AROC).
- A current or able to obtain Aerodrome Reporting Officer Certificate.
- A current Class C Manual Driver Licence.
- Strong knowledge and skills in aerodrome operations and maintenance.
- Experience in fuel dispensing.
- A strong commitment to safety, customer service and professional standards.
- Possess or be eligible to obtain a Queensland Firearms Licence.
